When employees returned to the White House, they were greeted by this welcome back sign, thanking them for their support during the time of transition.

The most noticeable change in the Oval Office is the new wallpaper. Previously, the walls were covered in a yellow striped paper, and now a neutral gray pattern lets other decorative elements, like the gold curtains and American flags, take center stage.

As for the Roosevelt Room, a new gray and white carpet was laid on the ground.

The West Wing lobby got the same new carpet as seen in the Roosevelt Room, and it was also decorated with white and yellow flowers for the grand reveal.

Just an hour after the President took off on Air Force One, all furniture was emptied out of the building and stashed in storage pods on the grounds outside of the West Wing.

The doorways have been roped off from West Wing staffers, who are currently working out of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building next door.

Even though Trump gave the Oval Office a cosmetic update shortly after taking office, the room is currently covered in plastic sheeting while other upgrades take place. We can’t help but wonder if any other major changes will happen to this historic room.

One of the biggest updates is replacing the 27-year-old heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Here, air filters stand in front of the fireplace in the Oval Office.

The Roosevelt Room is currently being used as a tool, supply and materials storage space.

New carpeting is also being installed, including this gray and white pattern between the Lower and Upper Press Offices.

A navy covering will also be laid down inside, as indicated by this roll of carpet being cut outside of the building by workers.

The South Portico steps were rebuilt in 1952, but haven’t been repaired since — until now. This is the first time they’ve been touched since President Dwight Eisenhower was in office.

The lawn outside of the Brady Briefing Room is currently under construction, as well as the rest of the exterior, with updates such as new granite curbs. Luckily, the public will actually be able to see these updates from the sidewalk outside of the grounds.
