Context

Hansen House is a historic hospital that cared for people with leprosy, established in Jerusalem in 1887. Nowadays it is transformed into a design, media and technology cultural center and is the home of the Jerusalem Design Week, which is now in its 8th edition.

‘Beauty, delight and joy’: 2023 NSW Architecture Awards winners revealed

The New South Wales chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects announced the winners of the NSW Architecture Awards on Friday 23 June.

Australian Institute of Architects NSW Chapter President Adam Haddow said the winning projects were at the pinnacle of Australian design.

“I am incredibly proud of the cultural, economic and societal contribution architects and architecture make to the state of NSW,” Haddow said.

Chip and Joanna Gaines tackle new home renovation in ‘Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse’: See trailer

Chip and Joanna Gaines have their hands full with another fixer upper project.

In a new trailer for their newest show, “Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse,” the couple takes on a new home renovation project in a new neighborhood near Lake Waco in Waco, Texas.

The trailer shows the couple discussing their design plans for the 1960s home which has dramatic cliffside views, demolition on parts of the home and the challenges they’re facing as they give the home an updated look.
